Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor # 2263

Makenna Nosbusch

I became a therapist because of a lifetime of experiences of witnessing people wanting and needing to be seen and heard. When I was younger I did not know how to help people and over time I learned about therapy and it’s many different forms and all the wonderful ways it can help transform people’s lives. It is not the therapy itself or the therapist that transforms lives but the choices that you make along the way. Therapy is not easy or comfortable, but if you choose to do the work and keep choosing to makes changes your life can be transformed. I am merely here to help inspire you and use therapeutic tools to achieve a life worth living.

Because therapy is not easy or comfortable, your input is crucial to the therapeutic relationship and process. Working together to create goals helps make therapy more of what you want and need it to be. What you can expect from me is a non-judgmental approach. I will challenge and encourage you. I listen intently and help you make connections and gain deeper understanding. Having a person and a place that offer a space for support and change can be life-changing. My goal for our time together is for you to feel seen, heard, and able to make the changes you want in life.

I have almost a decade of experience in the field of mental health. I am skilled in working with a range of challenges people face including; anxiety, depression, relational problems, life transitions, confidence, boundaries, and have specialty in working with trauma (both CPTSD and PTSD) and ADHD (especially in women). I am trained in TFCBT, DBT, and EMDR. I offer a collaborative, eclectic, and neurodiverse-friendly approach to healing. As a fellow individual with ADHD, I understand firsthand the unique challenges of neurodiversity.
